These exhibitions are of different nature and take place in different parts of the world at a specific location over a period of time, usually three to six months.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>The term \u201cworld\u2019s fair\u201d is a name predominantly used in the US.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> In French, the term Exposition universelle (&#8220;universal exhibition&#8221;) is used; in other Romance languages, such as Spanish, Italian and Romanian, a translation of the French term is used. In the non-Romance languages of Europe and in Asia and the Middle East, <\/span><b>World Expo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">or Specialized Expo are commonly used.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/expo1-foto2.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/expo1-foto2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8159\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">New York World&#8217;s Fair 1964, photo via <a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/photos\/D3Lum2QFvcI\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Unsplash<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since the entry into force of the 1928 Convention on International Exhibitions, the Bureau International des Expositions has served as the international sanctioning authority for international exhibitions. <\/span><b>Under the auspices of<\/b> <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bureau_International_des_Expositions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BIE<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, four types of international exhibitions <\/span><b>are organized<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><b> World Expos, Specialized Expos, Horticultural Expos<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (regulated by the International Association of Horticultural Producers) and the <\/span><b>Milan Triennial.<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Today, 170 member countries comply with the BIE Convention.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Zimbabwe entered on July 5, 2021 and became the 170th member.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/expo1-foto3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.bart.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/10\/expo1-foto3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8160\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">New York World&#8217;s Fair 1964, Photo via <a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/photos\/CcVznamQ4pw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Unsplash<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>World Exhibition Expo<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The World&#8217;s Fairs, officially known as the <\/span><b>International Registered Fairs, are a global gathering of nations dedicated to finding solutions to the pressing challenges of our time<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by offering a path to a universal theme through engaging and immersive activities. The World&#8217;s Fairs welcome tens of millions of visitors, allowing countries to build exceptional pavilions and transform the host city for years to come.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>The first World Expo<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Great Exhibition <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> took place in London in 1851. This concept has become popular and repeated around the world, demonstrating the unique power of attraction and the world heritage record.
